Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program

The School of Business offers the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. The MBA program is designed to enhance the management and organizational skills students need to function effectively within an organization. Emphasis is placed on quantitative and qualitative analyses of relevant information to improve business decision-making.


To prepare students for decision-making roles within their organization, the MBA program has been designed to introduce theories and principles that frame a wide range of problems and/or issues within each course. The most current theories, techniques, and tools are applied in real-world situations that enable students to practice critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. Students will learn in teams and individually, develop multitasking skills, practice creativity, and learn to lead in a global environment of change.

Program Objectives for the Master of Business Administration (MBA)

  • Utilization of creative problem-solving based on the awareness of the legal, ethical, and financial issues that affect an organization;

  • Comprehension of the dynamic and global nature of business and the requisite need to maintain currency of knowledge.

Due to the flexible nature of the program, there will be numerous dates of initiation throughout the year, as opposed to a traditional semester or quarter system.

Requirements for Degree Completion

The standard MBA program (without specialization) consists of 39 credit hours (13 courses).

Students wishing to obtain an MBA with a specialization may take either nine (9) or twelve (12) additional credit hours in one of five (5) areas of study.

Each course is six (6) weeks in length and three (3) credit hours. The MBA program is designed to allow students to take courses back to back (without breaks), but students will have the ability to schedule breaks between courses, if desired.

Students may be exempted from a maximum of nine (9) credit hours from their program.
