Ms Hines teaches IDC 1100: Effective Communication for Business Professionals at Meritus University.
A native of Nova Scotia, Ms Hines began her academic studies at Dalhousie University in Halifax, N.S.
Before entering the world of academia, Ms Hines spent time in the public sector, where her work included positions at Richmond Crisis Centre, Vancouver Coastal Health Authority and the Veteran Affairs department of the Canadian Federal Government.
She describes her teaching philosophy as quite simply: an instructor serves the needs of the students and the institution. Each student is entitled to the best education possible. An instructor has passion for his/her subject and is capable of utilizing different instructional approaches to meet the diverse needs of students.
Ms Hines is based in Vancouver, B.C.
